Two Tickets to Paradise

In 2006, we eloped to Guam (in true military fashion) and began our married life on the same beautiful, tropical island. Of course, our marriage is by no means perfect, but with intention, great mentors, and personal growth, we have survived—and now thrive—despite four moves, four deployments, and three adoptions in 15 years. We have learned and matured so much since the day we exchanged vows in that island paradise.

We have also evolved from working as a full-time enlisted Air Force member and an elementary school counselor to full-time work-from-home health and wellness coaches and business leaders. It’s been quite the process to create the grace and space required to work together daily.

We have learned to appreciate each other’s strengths and to tap into them. And we’ve learned to synergize our WHYs and collaborate to create the life we are intentionally building—for the health and future of our family.

Our stories are numerous, full of life and love, and at times heartbreaking, too. But we’ve learned so much from them and hope that by sharing them with you, you may find a few golden nuggets of wisdom to help in your journey, too. More to come.
